✨️ Seing my parents for the first time since getting on trail 💖
Day 91: Nice and cruisy day, with the rock of course
Mile Marker: 1167.8 Miles today: 17.7
Was on trail by 7:30 AM. But before, I got a good convenience store breakfast 👌 As per usual, I had a climb out of town. Apart, from that, it was pretty cruisy (if you do not take the rocks in consideration).
About 11 miles out of town, at Table Rock viewpoint, some kids we’re top ropping! It’s also at Table Rock’s that I saw my shoes in a bad shape…the toe cap were a little broken …
Once break time was over, I made my way back on trail where just about a mile out, I got to Peters Mtn Shelter ! WOW, what a beautiful shelter!!! I would of loved to stay the night… but my parents drove all the way out to come see me, so I made my way back on trail (and was very eager so see them).
Finished the day around 6:00 PM, and guess what ? Some trail magic was there at the trail head. Yay! Always so nice to receive. My parents arrived shortly after. So so happy to see them 🙂 Also, they also did their first trail magic by leaving a stash of water for hikers (I learned a few days later that in came in very usefull).
Before going out to supper, we stopped at the hotel where I took a nice shower (and a little cleaning of the “day uniform” in the bathtub).

Day 92: Rattlesnake morning & beaver territory
Mile Marker: 1185.2 Miles today: 17.4
Had a wonderful Cracker Barrel Old Country Store breakfast ! Town food is just so good. Got on trail around 9:00AM.
No particular view today, BUT I did put in my journal entry that a few rattlesnakes spotting occured in the morning, AND crossed beaver territory mid-afternoon. I swear I had a picture of me sitting on a big log trying to get accros the swamp without getting my feet & legs complety wet…
…but the picture that was taken of me, I apparently did not download it (I remember seing it, but a quite a few pictures that were sent to me via text, I can’t open 🤷♀️😢)
After crossing that, guess what ? It was not over. Now, overgrown trails! The pleasure.
Despite the natural obstacles of the day, amazing trail magic and the end & not any trail magic: pre-trail magic about 1 mile before the trail head – some fresh drinks where I choose Coka Cola of course ! Then the trail magic at the trail head where a RootBeer Float was waiting. Thank you Jink’s.
My parents where already at the trailhead when I arrived. I am happy the got to see my joy of receiving the trail magic, and just how it gives you energy & gratitude. We went to a Mtn Tavern Restaurant where I had a good steak.
