Max Patch today! & shin split …

Today hail was part of the party.

I left Standing Bear around 8h50 that morning.

I slowly made my way up the long uphill of the day. About three quarters of the way, I started to feel shin split in my right leg just above my ankle.

“That is not good news,” I told myself.

As I was approaching Max Patch, I texted Michey who left before me that morning, to see if she was still in the area. Luckily, she was. As I was going up, she was going down, & she gave me some KT tape.

About mid-day, the wind was starting to pick up. As I was approaching a parking near Max Patch, hail began to fall from the sky.

It was cold. I needed to keep moving at a good pace to keep warm.

Once on top of Max Patch, the wind was brutal. At moments, simply standing up & moving was hard 😅

The view was beautiful. Simply amazing.

Even if it was a hard day, I was happy.
