Day 64 & 65: The Guillotine & arriving in Glasgow through a burnt forest

Day 64: Cross Jennings Creek to Thunder Hill Shelter

Mile Marker: 772.7 Miles today: 14

✨️ Tent repair, thunder & the Guillotine !!!

Before heading on trail, a tent repair was needed. But before, I ate a huge breakfast…two breakfasts actually 😂 Passed by the Bryant Ridge Shelter where I saw the brick for the first time ! The shelter is really nice.

After, is was a climb up to Apple Orchard Mountain. On the way, some trail magic was found along the trail! There where no more coke left, but some beer was still there when I passed. As much as it would have been to drink one, I decided to leave for someone else who would appreciated more !

As I made it to the top the moutain, I came across We could hear thunder on top of the moutain & see rain coming in from the distance. It was time to get to the shelter…, but before, I got to pass under the Guillotine !!! So cool 🙂

Got to the shelter before the rain started.

Day 66: Thunder Hill Shelter to James River Footbrigde (Glasgow)

Mile Marker: 787.3 Miles today: 14.6

Walking through a burnt forest🌳, town day & food and getting to know Bunny✨

What a beautiful day☀️ The forest & view was beautiful today. It is a strange feeling to walk through a forest that burnt, especially at a relativly big scale. The fire I am refering to is the 2023 Matts Creek Fire.

As town got closer, we got a fabulous view on the river.

All day, Bunny & I leapfrogged each other. It was nice, we got to know each other and take pictures. Once we got to town in Glasgow, it was time for food ! I saw The Juice & Fishsticks there as well as Liberty & Masterchef 🤗
