I got a new outfit today & saw my first rattlesnake !!
As I woke up this morning, I looked at my shoes. Already, a hole in the back of the shoe on each side is apearing !!! I just got new shoes when I was in Pearisburg, 7 days ago !!!! That is insane. What can I do ?
Once breakfast was done, trail friends & I took a shuttle to town. I need new clothes. On my way down to Daleville yesterday, I realized my pants are falling down ….I needed to pull them up constanly… not fun, or practical 🙂
I hesitated a lot on the colors to chose. I asked the guys wich looked best 🙂 …I was hesitating between a pink or yellow shirt. Guess which one I choose ? See in one of the image below 🙂
After going to the outfitter, I stoped at the grocery store. As you can see in the picture below, we are approaching Memorial Day. I really liked to arrangement of ballons & flowers 🙂 It’s fun
Later that day, around 4PM, I hit the trail again… I passed the third of the way today !!!
As I got to the intersection between the trail & the trail to the shelter, I heard a noice ! I immediately knew it was a rattlesnake before I saw it !!! You know when you hear it.
After my heart calmed down, I set-up my tent & had dinner with a good dessert: tortilla, nutella & dried bananas!! I slept good that night.
Can’t wait for a new day.
