Mile marker: 698.1 Miles today: 22.6

Old Keffer Oak tree & Estern Continental Divide

As I woke-up this morning in the shelter, Master Chef said there was a snake at my feet!

It made me jump.

Off course he was joking…he knew I don’t like snakes.

I saw an other rabbit on trail at the start of the day 😁 They are soo cute 😍.

Today is the day I get see Old Keffer oak tree:

"The Keffer oak is one of the largest living trees on the Appalachian Trail. Legend says it's more than 300 years old. It measures between 19 and 20-inches in circumference."

Today is also the day that:

  • I pass the Eastern Continental Divide

As I was going down after the after the Eastern Continental Divide… I took my biggest fall on trail so far. I stayed down for a few minutes. It was a close call! I did not get hurt! Ouf (sorry mom).

Today, I also:

  • Passed trought a burnt forest! It’s was a special feeling.
  • Saw a turtle
  • Forged a river
  • Saw the Audie Murphy Monument

What a day !!!

Oh, also my feet were not looking so great at the end of the day 😮
