Got a late start today. I left Woods Hole around 10:00 AM.
My pace was slow at the start of the day. Enjoying the moment & soaking up the atmosphere of the woods…
I saw 3 deers on trail just after a few minutes of being on trail.
The where just standing there & looking at me.
As I talked to them in english, they just stood there. When I talked french to them, they took off…guess they are not used to french😂
The day went on nice.
I stopped at few nice viewpoints.
When I got to the trailhead in Pearishburg, I called the hostel, Angels Rest, for a pick-up.
I called all the outfitters near by to see if any of them had the last pair of shoes I had in my size. Only one had them, in Daleville…wich is about 4 to 5 days ahead.
Then I went for mexican for dinner. I saw Beans at the restaurant, so we got to chat about how our hikes was going.
I ordered 2 main meals. Ther server was surprised, but I was hungry.
That night, I had a great conversation about life with a man from Long Island. We talked about different subject namely what it means to be in a relationship & what true love can be…
He made me realized what I see as love exist, but is rare.
