Day 42: 8.6 miles- Dennis Cove Rd to US321 (Boots Off Hostel)

Mile marker: 428.8 Miles today: 8.6

Even if it was a short day of hiking, it was not a short day

I was on trail by 9h10 this morning. I slowly made my way towards Laurel Falls. I enjoyed the wall of rocks on each side shortly before them.

Then, there was a short step dowhill of rocks to make it to the falls.

I loved seing the falls. There’s is something beautiful about them (falls in general).

After the falls, the trail continued along the river on one side & a rock wall on the other side.

As I was on the top of the moutain before making the dowhill to Boots Off Hostel, I called them to see if I could get a shuttle to the doctors.

I needed to get the antibiotic for the tick that was imbeded in me a few nights before. But to have it, I needed to see a doctor to obtain a prescription.

Luckily, they said that it wasn’t a problem.

Once at the hostel, I put my stuff in the dome that I was staying for the night & got a ride to the doctor.

After seing the doctor, I walked to the pharmacie to pick-up the antibiotics I needed.

Then, I made my way back to the hostel, they picked my up again.

I am grateful that the hostel helped me liked that to get in town before the shuttle they normally offer innorder to be there before the medical center & the pharmacy closed.
