A beautiful view on the Balds

I woke up early to be on trail just before sunrise. The view of the first sunlight between the trees was beautiful..Felt so grateful to be witness of it.

As I made my way across Carvers Gap around 7h00, trail magic was setting up.

Making my way up Round Bald (the first of the 3 balds), I felt the wind pick-up… I put on my wind jacket.

The view, simply magical. The color of the sunrise was still present in the sky & the fog/cloud’s were starting to roller in…amazing!

The clouds was covering the mountains by the time I passed Jane Bald.

As the day advanced & I made it to Hump Moutain, it was rainy and nothing was visible at a distance. Just fog & strong winds.

Once I made it through Hump Moutain & below tree line, I was more comfortable.

I also harvested some ramps.

That night, I slept at Moutain Harbor B&B. I treated myself to some luxury: a room with it’s own private jacuzzi.

It was so good.
