Leaving the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) that morning, I was a little scared of the hike back up. The downhill the day before was so brutal.
I took it slow. It went well, even if it was not always easy & it rained a little that day.
I used my umbrella for the first time since the wind was not bad.
Arriving at Cheoah Bald was so worth that uphill. The bald is a beauty! I loved being up there.
I still felt my left knee that day & got cramps that night in my legs.
At camp, it was cold & windy! I ate quickly to go in my tent as soon as possible.
We even got a little snow that evening ❄️
