Clingsmans Dome & 200 mile marker !!!
An other big milestone day! Today I made it to Clingmans Dome, the highest point on the appalachian trail at 6’643 feet.
How amazing 😃
The day started with a small uphill. Oh, how mossy & beautiful.
The view going up was wonderfull.
Before I knew it, I was at Clingmans Dome in the smookies. What a feeling actually being there!
And the view, wow!!! It’s was such a pleasure to be there & overlooking the mountains I hiked and to be hiked.
Clingmans’ also marked acheiving the 200 mile marker hiked!
At the top, I meet a woman who hiked the AT last year and said the next 2’000 miles are just as beautiful as the last 200 miles & to enjoy it.
The day continued with the hike towards Newfound Gap.
Made it out the woods just in time for the eclipse.
The view at camp was simply beautiful. What a beautiful day.
