A well deserved 0 day followed by a beautiful view at The Rocks after Humpback Mountain 😍Met Sir Snapper & shared a banane split ✨️
Day 70: Rest day
Enjoyed a nice rest day on Memorial Day. It was actually my first Memorial week-end in the states. It was a fun day. I went to Wal-Mart for a resupply with Coffee & Bodacious. After, we went to Sonic!!! My first time there, it was good 😁 town food is always awsome. The rest of the day, I relaxed at the Stanimal’s hostel…ate some popcorn & worked hard on searching the slow leak in my air mattress…

Day 71: James River Footbrigde (Glasgow) to US60/Long Moutain Wayside
Mile Marker: 809.3 Miles today: 22 Saw Bunny at the trail head today! It was nice to see her. The 0.2 miles side trail to The Rocks view point was totally worth it !!!!!! The view is nice, but the rock formation makes it magic ✨️ There was a really big tree fall in the middle of trail just before Paul C. Wolfe S. Once back to the hostel, it was chatting time with fellow hikers. I decided to wear a nice dress. I put on a sweater in the evening…. Later, I went for icecream and Snapper joined me as well as others. Snapper & I decided to share a bananasplit ✨️🫶 As we we’re talking & eating the icecream, a man came up to us and asked if we we’re friends & if we got along with each other…we did not understand the question untill we realized that I was wearing a Virginia Cavaliers sweater & Snapper was wearing a Virginia Tech sweater 🤣
Once back at the hostel, we put up our name for a time slot for the shuttle back to trail the next morning. Tomorrow, the start of the Shenandoah National Park 😍 Took a nice Bubble Bat before bed. Do live up to my name 🤗 Still thinking that my nail of my toe might fall off…
