Have you ever realized a dream? Did something that scared you?Jumped into the unknown?
That is what I completed succesfully a month ago today.

On september 3rd, I completed the Appalachian Trail. Even tought my intention was always to do it all, the sheer scale of it made me doubt I could do it. I was in doubt when I took the plane to fly to Georgia, I was in doubt on my first day on trail, and so many more days. I doubted myself especially on the days that I was cold, on bad weather, especially on the exposed ridges, & when I was tired. Tired physicaly but also mentally & emotionally. In the Whites Mountains I really did not know how I would complete New Hamphire & all of Maine in front of me…
How did I do it? Only by thinking of the next step, then the next one….and so on.
I saw incredible landscapes. The Appalachian Mountains are magnificient. No words or pictures can ever do it justice. I pushed my limits, trought sweat & tears. As much as the lows are low, the ups are up…moments of pure joy. I made the best of friends, met incredible people, stangers with the best of hearts helping you & fellow hikers.
Thank you so much to everyone I meet. You made this journey truly a blessing. A big thank you to all the Trail Angels. You are the best!
My heart & prayers goes out to everyone touched by the hurricane. The mountain towns I passed throught will for ever by in my heart & part of me. I found a home away from home. I found a family out there. I will for ever be grateful.
Thank you,
Bubble Bath
P.S. My daily post will be re-starting eventually 🙂 I needed to concentrate on my hike & sleep while on trail.
