Day 59: 18.1 miles – Peters Moutain Wilderness Trailhead to Laurel Creek Shelter

Mile marker: 675.4 Miles today: 18.1

Forging a small creek

At the start of the day, I saw a few fellow hikers at the trailhead.

They where waiting on their shuttle for trail days.

We chatted & told me I had some a small creek to forge…

As I went on trail, I wondered how it would be to forge it.

Turns out the creek is not large, but deep enough that I can not rock jump it. I decided to take my shoes & put my sandals.

As I was putting my shoes back on, after forging, I meet 2 new thru-hikers: Liberty & Master Chef.

They found a way not to take their shoes off in order to cross…

Moments after I got my shoes back on, I managed to get my feet wet with the mud 😅

During the day, I decided to take a blue blaze to a view point.

Unfortunately, no views: the trees were too tall. At least, I got to see other view points on trail 😃

When I got to the War Spur Shelter….I tought about staying there.

Liberty motivated me to continue by asking me how I would feel tomorrow if I stopped kow. Happy he did.

I was happy at the end of the day.
